Tech Lead

Job description

At Bontouch, we have a simple but ambitious idea: to make the world’s greatest apps for the best brands on the planet. To have the greatest impact on users all over the world, we partner up with our favorite companies—from Swish to 3M Post-it®—to create highly useful, beautiful-looking, visionary mobile apps and web apps that create less friction for millions of users in the real world.

We are looking for a Tech Lead with good experience of Javascript and frameworks such as Vue or React. As a Tech Lead at Bontouch you will have a coaching role in a cross-functional team where you'll work closely together with UX and UI designers, QA, project managers and product owners for some of our exciting partners- both local and global. Everyone with one shared passion – to create exceptional products for everyday life. You will take a great deal of responsibility in leading and coaching the other web developers in your product team to make sure that the work stays as smooth as possible.

As a Tech Lead you will also be part of our Web Competence Area where you have everything from the dedicated World of Warcraft player, the survival-winter-camper, the hobby fisher to the guitarist! As a big part of a small, but growing team of web developers you’ll build sustainable products for millions of people and set the course for the future. You will have an important role in the team with a big impact on improving the way we work and how we build the products for our partners.  In the web team we work with complete freedom and are often in charge of everything from idea and concept to production and implementation. No matter if you’re fresh out of school or a more experienced developer- you’re a part of the decision process.

Who you are:

  • You have an engineering background within computer/IT and 5+ years of experience from previous work.
  • You have experience from a Tech Lead role or similar.
  • You have worked with Single Page Applications and are well experienced with Javascript and frameworks such as Vue, React or Angular. Good experience of React and its ecosystem is beneficial.
  • You have preferably previous experience with graphics, rendering, Canvas API or the WebGL API.
  • Good knowledge about CSS, HTML, Git, CI, Unix and Kotlin is a big bonus.

Things you’ll do:

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to build and maintain websites enjoyed by millions.
  • Support and mentor other developers in technical discussions and decision making.
  • Learning and growing constantly to feed your passion for self-improvement and make those around you better.
  • Work in an environment that focuses on individual growth as much as collective growth.
  • Analyze, test and tweak our services to ensure the best possible web experience for our users.
  • Work with large, scalable applications.
  • Join in on our sessions for knowledge sharing, hackathons and code camps.
